Welcome to An Sheng Acupuncture & Healing Arts! Detailed instructions including a map can be found here. Please allow for extra travel time during heavy traffic hours.
Your understanding of the following information is critical, as well as reading in full my procedures and protocols regarding COVID-19.
Your First Visit
For your convenience, a link is provided to access new patient paperwork. Please print and fill out at your leisure and bring with you to your first appointment. If you do not have the ability to print out New Patient Paperwork, please let me know in a timely manner so that I can mail all required paperwork to you with sufficient time before your first appointment.
Your initial visit will last approximately 2 hours. This allows time to review your health history, do a physical assessment, discuss what to expect, and receive your acupuncture treatment. It is helpful to be properly hydrated and I suggest that you eat something a few hours before your treatment to avoid being overly hungry or full.
NOTE: Please silence your cell phone before entering the clinic. My clinic is comfortable but small and cell phones can be distracting to your fellow patients.
Once your treatment is completed, take a few minutes to return to the present moment. Most people feel a deep sense of ease and relaxation after acupuncture and it is best to avoid excess stress or exertion after treatment.
Observe how you feel after your session – your feedback can be helpful in future sessions!
Acupuncture & The Bigger Picture
The results of acupuncture are cumulative, with improvement building with each visit. When I develop a treatment plan for a patient, the frequency of the treatment is determined such that improvement continues without any backsliding.
Most people experience relief and improvement in the first 1-3 visits and many people experience notable improvement from their first treatment.
If you are physically/emotionally depleted or suffering from a debilitating disease or exhausting lifestyle, the initial goal of treatment is to build and improve your baseline – and support your energy so your body can help the healing process. At times, I may also give additional suggestions to improve your vitality including diet, lifestyle, herbs, supplements, therapeutic exercises, and/or stress reductions strategies.
My goal is to empower you on your path to better health and I am committed to providing the finest possible care to my patients. If I find that there is another modality or medical provider that would better serve you, I will happily refer you to the appropriate person.
Payment Details
Medical Insurance Coverage
Many major insurance plans now offer coverage for acupuncture and I am in-network with most of them. All co-payments and co-insurance payments are due at time of service. For patients without insurance coverage for acupuncture, please contact me.
Motor Vehicle Accidents And Acupuncture
If you were injured in a motor vehicle accident, I bill your insurance directly and there is no out-of-pocket expense to you. I treat many people suffering from auto accident related injuries. All drivers with Oregon car insurance are fully covered by personal injury protection (PIP) to help with recovery from accident related pain. All insurance billing is handled for you and no referral from a doctor is needed for acupuncture treatment.
You are entitled to medical care for up to one year from the date of the accident.
You do not have any out of pocket expenses and you do not need a referral.
